Operation Christmas Child

The Inspire Channel participates every year in a wonderful ministry called “Operation Christmas Child.” We fill shoeboxes with items for kids around the globe. Children hear about Jesus and then receive the gifts, possibly their first Christmas presents ever.

We start early to find good deals on toys, school supplies, and personal items.

Shoebox Collection Week is the week before Thanksgiving. There are many drop-off sites across the nation. If you’d like to help, find out more HERE.

You can “Follow Your Box” to see where it ends up. In 2025, our shoeboxes traveled all the way to Madagascar!

The Inspire Channel wishes you a Very Merry Christmas—even if it’s still a few months away.

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep

The Inspire Channel operates on a single, simple guideline: Look around, notice a need, and try to help.

When three local school children didn’t have beds, we joined with others in the community to meet that need. The Inspire Channel donated toward the cost of the mattresses and then picked out the snuggliest blankets and sheet sets we could find to bless the kids. Third graders Sadie Harlow and Amelia Dixon jumped in to assist with delivery.

Cookies for Sailors

The Inspire Channel loves creative projects that surprise and encourage people. So when Rachel posted a Cookie Baking Challenge on social media, we were all in.

“For every $50 donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the kiddos and I will make a batch of cookies for the hard-working sailors of the USS West Virginia,” she wrote.

The Inspire Channel sponsored several batches, including oatmeal raisin and cranberry white chocolate chip.

Four-year-old James and two-year-old Daniel helped their mom by stirring in the ingredients and taste-testing the final products, all in honor of their Navy family.
